ABOUT ELSTEAD CINEMA
Elstead Cinema is a village community cinema showing monthly films in Elstead Village Hall on the second Friday of each month; from September to May. The brainchild of local resident Peter Moon, it was founded in February 2008 with the experimental showing of the James Bond film Casino Royale. The experiment was a success!

Nowadays the cinema uses digital technology to produce a bright image and clear sound, with assistance headsets and a hearing loop available. There is full level access for the less able.

Tickets remain at just £5 each and showings include a 20 minute interval with refreshments available, including ice-creams and a reasonably priced bar. During the interval the screen carries a rolling programme of local news and forthcoming village events.
In the light of the pandemic an extract ventilation system with constant CO2 monitoring was installed; and we are also now able to take contactless payments, though cash remains welcome.

Elstead Cinema is an outreach of The Elstead Village Halls Registered Charity (Registration No. 305024)
